The door and sidelight is called "The Eighth Ave" The door is 38" x 88" x 1-3/4" The sidelight is 18-1/2 x 88" x 1-3/4 They are both made out of quarter sawn White Oak all of the glass is tempered and insulated and beveled The blue pieces are beveled azurlite ...... sky blue glass !

Here is the "history" of how this door was made

Here is the Drawing of the finished version ~ Outside View	Here is the end grain of the White Oak used in this project	Here is the rough lumber that will be used in the door and sidelight	First the face is flattened and made straight
Look at the beautiful medullary rays	Here is the wood that has been surfaced to 1-3/4" thick	Then the edge is jointed and straightened	Here is the machined fitting of the door frame
Then I cut the "long" mullions ...... all at once so they are exactly the same length	Then they are cut and re-cut till they fit exactly	........ perfecto !! ........	Here is the end cut of the 3"-4" mullions ..... how'd he do that ?
Each mullion is hand fit to it's final "resting place"	Then I cut backing blocks to be able to apply pressure to the interspersed mullions	....... a closer look	Here is the entry in 16 individual clamps ..... nice fit
Here it will cure for at lease 4 days	....... then I start fitting the sidelight mullions	and then we glue it up	Here is the sidelight, out of clamps
Then we start hand sanding ....... and ....... hand sanding	The glass finally arrived	It was packed very well	Here is the beveled Azurlite Blue
