I have access to 2 sections of 68" x 16ft logs of this highly figured wood.
This tree was dead and salvaged
These logs have been custom sawed.
It has ALL be sawn into vertical grain to retain the "Striata" figure.

Have a good look at this AMAZING figure ...... it is in every board.
ALL of the Douglas Fir in these projects have come from the SAME tree .
I have named it "Striata" Fir ........ because no one has seen anything like this figure
